Resistance is Fruitile WIP Sept-26


Hey all,

I've just uploaded another incremental WIP update, dated Sept 26th.

Perhaps interestingly, perhaps frustratingly, RiF's levels were not actually made via Unity's built-in tilemap system, and instead are made as single images in a tile-based pixel art software (shout out to Pyxeledit).  This was done simply due to ignorance / we weren't sure how to implement the levels properly.  I've recently spent some time learning more about Unity, and found out just how great the tilemap system can be.  So, after tinkering with it for a while in test project, I've decided to start converting all of the existing RiF levels to this system, as well as add some new ones once the system is in place.

So far, I've converted all of The Courtyard rooms, and in doing so also tweaked / improved almost all of those existing rooms.  Please note that you can now phase dash through (most of) the hedge bushes, and across 1-tile wide water; I'm going to be experimenting with adding more dash-throughable obstacles like this.

The next update will focus on The Library; I'm also going to investigate how possible it would be for me (still learning how to program) to improve the flow of rooms, for instance offer two or three exit options instead of only one.

I've also swapped the match-two bonus of two Power cards:

- Minefulness: match-two makes the sawblade bigger and do more damage

- Tough Nuts: currently, the match-two gives you the two mines perk.  This is a place-holder, and I'm planning to change this to something more interesting / not related to the Juicr9000 once I'm capable of doing so in the coding.
